The SDACC Office of Education serves conferences and approximately 350 educators across Canada. In addition to curriculum and policy support, Office of Education personnel collaborate with colleagues at the North American Division and other unions to support the work of Adventist education across the division.

Betty Bayer is a product of Adventist education and has dedicated her life to serving God as an Adventist educator. She holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in English, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Andrews University. During the past 40+ years, she has served as an English teacher, department head, vice principal, and associate director, and currently serves as Director of Education for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada. Betty chose teaching because she loves to learn and looks forward to learning throughout eternity.

Shad Lehmann is a fourth generation Adventist and has attended Adventist schools for his entire academic career. He holds a B.Ed. from Burman University, a M.A. in Educational Leadership from La Sierra, and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Andrews University. Throughout his career Shad has taught at all levels from kindergarten through university. He has also served as a principal and a superintendent of education before joining the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada in his current role as the Associate Director of Education.

Brandy Perkins has worked for the SDACC Office of Education for over 20 years and her current position is Education Specialist/Certification Registrar. She holds a Design Speciality in Graphic Arts certificate from Durham College and a B.Sc. in General Studies with a focus in Social Studies from Andrews University.
