About the School: Chinook Winds Adventist Academy (CWAA) is a K–12 Seventh-day Adventist school located in Calgary, Alberta. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered, nurturing environment where students are empowered to grow spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. Position Summary:
CWAA is seeking a dynamic, spiritually grounded, and visionary Principal to lead our school community. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for Adventist education, a collaborative leader, and a role model of Christian values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual leadership and uphold the mission and values of CWAA.
- Oversee the academic program and ensure alignment with Alberta Education and Adventist curriculum standards.
- Lead and support faculty and staff in professional growth and instructional excellence.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging school culture.
- Collaborate with parents, church leaders, and the wider community.
- Manage school operations, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education or related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Valid Alberta teaching certification or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in educational leadership.
- Active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to Christian education and student success.
- Leadership Quality Standard (LQS) Certification
