The Alberta Conference Office of Education invites applications for the position of Teaching Principal (grades 5-9) at Higher Ground Christian School in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Medicine Hat, located in southeast Alberta, Canada, is a vibrant city along the South Saskatchewan River. It lies approximately 169 km east of Lethbridge and 295 km southeast of Calgary with a population of 63,271. It boasts the title of Canada’s sunniest place, receiving an average of 2,544 hours of sunshine per year.

We are dedicated to meet the education needs of families throughout the greater Medicine Hat area. Higher Ground Christian School is a two teacher multigrade school consisting of grades K-9.

Qualifications:
– Master’s and Bachelors degrees in Elementary Education (or equivalent)
–Leadership Quality Standards (LQS) endorsement (Required for Principals in Alberta)
–Alberta Teaching Certificate.
–PowerSchool training/experience.
–Previous leadership experience.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
