0.5 FTE Teacher

Sylvan Meadows Adventist School (SMAS) is looking for a 0.5 FTE teacher to join their team for the 2024-25 school year. The position will consist of four half days each week and will focus on teaching Language Arts, Social Studies, and Math to upper elementary students.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Education degree

• Eligibility for AB and NAD certification

• Legal authorization to work in Canada

• Active membership in the SDA church

• A deep-seated enthusiasm for teaching children through creative, collaborative, and engaging methods

• Strong organizational abilities and a knack for using AB provincial learning objectives to devise imaginative lesson and unit plans

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate educational content to parents.
